One more sanity check before you sign the purchase order: if a dealer quotes a suspicious efficiency number, ask for it in writing. Per FTC advertising guidelines, efficiency claims must be truthful and backed by evidence. A reputable dealer will produce the AHRI certificate immediately. The one who hesitates? That hesitation tells you everything you need to know.

The bottom line: the right Valor fireplace insert exists for every project. It's just not the same unit for every project. Identify your scenario, verify the details, and then buy. Follow that order, and you'll avoid most of the costs that catch people off guard.
