Who We Are

Built on a Passion for Hearth & Home

Valor Fireplaces was founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1984 by a group of engineers who believed that gas fireplaces should deliver real radiant warmth — not just the appearance of a flame. That conviction led to the development of our patented radiant heat technology, which remains the foundation of our product engineering today.

Over four decades, we've grown from a regional manufacturer to a trusted name across North America, with a distribution network exceeding 1,200 authorized dealers and a product portfolio spanning gas fireplaces, electric fireplaces, gas stoves, and fireplace inserts.

What hasn't changed is our core belief: a great fireplace should be as functional as it is beautiful, and every installation should be one a contractor is proud to leave behind.

Radiant Heat Patent Granted

Our proprietary radiant heat combustion system is awarded a Canadian patent, distinguishing Valor from convective-only competitors.

1998

CSA Certification & US Expansion

Full CSA certification enables distribution into the US market; dealer network expands to 400 locations within two years.

2008

Portrait Series Launch

The award-winning Valor Portrait vertical-flame fireplace is introduced, redefining what a gas fireplace could look like architecturally.

2017

ENERGY STAR Partnership & G4 Electric

Valor achieves ENERGY STAR Partner status and launches the G4 Electric series with multi-colour flame technology.
